Dr. Inga Kravchik

Inga was born and raised in Saint Petersburg/Russia, where she also studied Law, before her migration to Germany. Her following studies of Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin mostly focussed on international politics and legal issues. Subsequently, she was granted a fellowship by the Joint Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program “Human Rights Under Pressure – Ethics, Law, and Politics”, in the context of which she conducted her research in International Criminal Law, International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law. Her work is based on an interdisciplinary approach, which primarily includes social constructivist concepts on the emergence and evolution of international norms, insights into the appropriate application of legal norms as well as feminist institutionalist and legal perspectives.
